Planning on doing some back-to-school shopping this month? Shop Maryland Tax-Free Week begins Sunday, August 11, and runs through Saturday, August 17.

During this period, you won’t be charged sales tax on qualifying items. Notably, clothes and shoes that cost $100 or less will be tax-free, and the first $40 of the cost of a backpack/bookbag will also be tax-free.

You can find a full list of Maryland’s taxable and exempt items on the Comptroller’s website.

If you plan to shop at the outlets in Clarksburg, don’t miss:
